The Terraced Garden

When the Ermitage was opened in 1785, the Birseck Castle had a triple terraced garden with exotic trees and plants at its feet. Eight years later it was destroyed by revolutionaries.

Several Acacia trees later replaced the once exotic plants. The terraces slowly decayed with time, and today all you can see is sloping terrain with bushes and flowers.
