The landscape garden is always accessible, however some of the buildings stay closed in the winter.
Between the 15th of May and the 30th of September the ruins of Birseck castle are open to visitors every Wednesday and Saturday between 2pm and 5pm. Groups can book a visit outside these times though Mrs Eva Kilcher for a cost of CHF 50. The hermitage is open every Sunday from the start of May to the middle of October between 1:30pm and 5pm. The restored automated wooden puppet will be supervised by members of Säulizunft Arlesheim.
